Leonidas Quality
Your shipment is treated with the same care than in making Leonidas delicious chocolates. We specially package and ship your gift so that it will arrive in best possible condition, but it is important that you will manage closely the receiving of the product. Each order comes with Leonidas packaging, and upon request, we'll also include a complimentary gift card with your personal message. Note that the actual chocolate pieces may vary from the mixed assortment website images, how they are packed into the box, and depend on the selection available in our Chicago inventory.
Our world famous chocolates are fresh and flown in weekly from Brussels, Belgium. Our chocolates are made of the freshest ingredients and should be consumed within 30 days of delivery. Leonidas chocolate maintains its freshness the best in a cool and dry area with temperatures between 59 and 65 degrees. The ballotin packaging is also made in Belgium to provide the same very experience that the customers have in Brussels.
Our chocolates are shipped from Leonidas-USA.com, 1907 Central Street, Evanston, IL 60201 by FedEx, a top rated in the industry for its shipping services and handling reliability. We are not responsible for damages, losses or delays caused by FedEx or the customer negligence - please refer to www.Fedex.com to shipping terms and damages. We may elect to require a signature for delivery and hold the shipment if there is a chance of heat damage. Leonidas is not responsible for the product after it has been handed over to the carrier (FedEx, USPS or another carrier) - the customer is responsible for ensuring timely receiving of the product and mitigating all and any weather, theft, physical or other damages at the destination. Please review your addresses carefully before submitting - we will charge additional $12 for incorrect address. We strongly recommend signing up to the FedEx Shipping Manager service that allows the recipient to control the delivery dates and hold the shipments at FedEx location if necessary.
Ordering and order cancellations
The orders can be placed also as a guest, without logging into the system. The orders are cancelled when you get a cancellation confirmation email from us which can be completed before the order shipped. After the order is shipped, the orders cannot be cancelled. The most secure way to cancel the order is to create a login and cancel the order online (assuming that the order is not in shipped -mode and even before shipment labels are created). If you attempt to email us, or use contact form or call us, there is up to 24 hour delay in response and this doesn't guarantee timely cancellation until you get an email from us and we have changed the status to cancelled online (which will send you an email).
Back-order items
While we bring every week fresh chocolates to our shipping center, it is possible that we may be out of stock of the particular praline that you desire. We will ship and match the missing item or packaging with the closest possible flavor and packaging. You can always contact us for further information.
Special gift packaging and corporate gift items
Some larger gift packaging items require more preparation and lead time. We will make our best effort to get the items to you quickly and with least cost. You will be advised of the lead time if the gift is not shipped next day. The gift packaging may vary depending on the availability of the exact packaging materials but is guaranteed to be the same value and quality.
Leonidas Satisfaction Guarantee:
Freshness, Quality and Choices at Leonidas apply also in our Service. The chocolates are the same very chocolates that are being sold in Brussels, flown in the US weekly. However, if for any reason your order is damaged or partial, contact us by email and enclose pictures for a prompt, courteous response. We will work with FedEx to get a refund on shipping damaged items (does not include heat damage, theft, destruction or misplacement at destination).
Product Returns and Order Cancellations:
Leonidas does not accept any returns of the items because they are food items - all sales are final. The order can be canceled if the product is not already shipped from our Evanston location, but not if the product is already with FedEx or USPS.
