FEDEX OR USPS DO NOT GUARANTEE DELIVERY TIMES EVEN IF YOU CHOOSE OVERNIGHT, 2ND DAY AIR OR 3RD DAY AIR (or Ground/Home Delivery, Priority Mail). FEDEX OR USPS DO NOT REIMBURSE EVEN IF THE PACKAGES ARE NOT DELIVERED ON TIME OR AT ALL. LEONIDAS-USA.COM IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR FORCE MAJEURE, FEDEX, USPS OR WEATHER RELATED DELAYS, DAMAGES OR LOSSES. We strongly recommend signing up for the FedEx Shipping Manager service that allows the recipient to control the delivery dates and hold the shipments at FedEx location if necessary.

To avoid chocolate melting or theft outside of your home, we strongly advise to have product shipped to place of work or request FedEx to keep the package in the nearest FedEx location, or have the item delivered to your air-conditioned place of work like office. The customer is responsible for ensuring timely receiving of the product and mitigating all and any weather, theft, physical or other damages at the destination - you can manage your incoming FedEx shipments by signing up with FedEx delivery manager at FedEx website (click LINK). USPS shipments can be also tracked via USPS website (link).  We are not responsible for heat damages with 2-day, 3-day FedEx Express, FedEx Ground or Home Delivery shipments, or if the recipient is not present at the time of the delivery. We may elect to require a signature for delivery and hold the shipment if there is a chance of heat damage.

Correct addresses are a must - please review your addresses and contact information carefully before completing the checkout. If you have few or a large gift list, our recommendation is to use https://smartystreets.com for multiple address verification (they have a free plan for 250 addresses per month).  Once you have reviewed your address list, you can email it to us at admin@leonidas-usa.com and we can upload it for you into your www.Leonidas-USA.com -account (in 48 hours).

We package and ship your gift so that it should arrive in as perfect condition as possible with the shipment handling, but it is important that you will manage closely the receiving of the product. Unfortunately in some instances FedEx or USPS mishandles the packages and you need to file a claim with them in such cases. Each order comes with Leonidas packaging, and upon request, we'll also include a complimentary gift card with your personal message. Our chocolates are shipped from Leonidas-USA.com, 1907 Central Street, Evanston, IL 60201 by FedEx or USPS. 

All orders placed before 10:00 am CST will be processed that same day. If your order is placed after 11:00 am CST, please allow 24 hours for processing. You need to ensure that someone is at shipment destination to receive the order - Leonidas is not responsible for loss or damages caused by shipment delays.

If for any reason your order does not meet with your satisfaction, contact us by email and enclose pictures for a prompt, courteous response. However, we are not responsible nor cannot replace shipment when the damage is caused by FedEx/USPS or if the shipment was damaged after arrival, or if FedEx/USPS did not deliver on time/perform as contracted.

FedEx

Free shipping offer apply only continental United States (AK, HI excluded) with day-time peak temperatures below 72 degrees. States like FL, LA, TX, CA, AZ, NV, GA, SC, NM, MS can have higher temperatures (https://weather.com/maps/ustemperaturemap) and will require minimum 2-day air shipping except in the winter time. We will contact you in higher temperature states before shipping the chocolates and incurring the additional charge.

For your time-definite needs, FedEx Express delivers on Saturday in many U.S. cities with FedEx First Overnight®, FedEx Priority Overnight®, and FedEx 2Day® services. Saturday is a standard delivery day with FedEx Home Delivery®.  However, FedEx does not guarantee that mail is delivered on-time or within estimated time period.

Wrong Address fees: FedEx charge of Address Correction will be charged back to the customer (currently approximately $13.00).  FedEx cannot deliver to P.O. boxes.

US Postal Service (USPS)

For details on free Package Pickup, go to Schedule a Pickup. Available only with certain products and to certain domestic destinations. Insurance does not cover certain items. For details regarding claim exclusions, see Sections 609.4.3 (Non-payable Claims), 609 (Filing Indemnity Claims for Loss or Damage), and 503.4 (Insured Mail) of the Domestic Mail Manual. USPS does not guarantee that mail is delivered on-time or within estimated time period.

Back-order items
While we bring every week fresh chocolates to our shipping center, it is possible that we may be out of stock of the particular praline that you desire. We will ship and match the missing item or packaging with the closest possible flavor and packaging. You can always contact us for further information.

Special gift packaging and corporate gift items
Some larger gift packaging items require more preparation and lead time. We will make our best effort to get the items to you quickly and with the least cost. You will be advised of the lead time if the gift is not shipped the next day. The gift packaging may vary depending on the availability of the exact packaging materials but is guaranteed to be the same value and quality.

Warm temperature states:
Since temperatures vary across the country we may elect not to ship over a weekend to guarantee its arrival in premium condition. Therefore, we can not guarantee Monday deliveries in any order.From May 1st to October 1st and year-around to warm climates, such as AZ, FLA, TX, NM, LA, GA, Southern CA, we require overnight shipping.

Christmas and Valentines:
Christmas and Valentine may also extend the FedEx ground / USPS shipping times and we cannot guarantee them on-time performance. We are also subject to Force Majeure and issues that the shipping company may face. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. During Valentine's and Holiday seasons, the order processing may take up to 3 days depending on the order backlog with FedEx ground shipments, but FedEx express shipments will be processed as a high priority.

Returns are not available.  Leonidas product is food and is not returnable.  If the package is returned when customer is not available to receive it, refuses to receive it or if FedEx or USPS could not deliver it to the location, the customer can claim the shipment by paying second delivery charge and Leonidas will ship the product.  Please note that at that point the product has already travelled to the customer address and back to Evanston, IL, and the product may have suffered shipment damages.

Special and Shipping offers:
The periodic shipping offers are for FedEx Ground or Ground Home /USPS shipping only even when the marketing communication does not specify it. Leonidas reserves the right take up to 3 business days before sending out the shipments, depending on the order backlog.
